Soy Manuela Grandal. Vivo en Buenos Aires, alejada del ruido de la ciudad gracias a mi casa-estudio que silencia el ruido de la calle. Trabajo como vestuarista y escenografa en comerciales para television, fotos publicitarias y obras de teatro. Empece a realizar muñecos hace diez años mientras estudiaba actuacion. Cuando paso el tiempo me di cuenta que lo que mas me gustaba era trabajar con mis manos realizando objetos, y empecea estudiar en la escuela de Bellas Artes.

Cuando paso el tiempo me di cuenta que lo que mas me gustaba era trabajar con mis manos realizando objetos, y empecea estudiar en la escuela de Bellas Artes.
Lo que mas disfruto es estar en mi casa con un mate calentito (siempre), acompañada de buena musica, y tener todos los materiales a mi alrededor, jugar y diseñar mis muñecos y objetos.
Soy fanatica de las antigüedades, objetos de decoracion, libros, ilustraciones...y tengo a todos mis objetos favoritos en mi casa para darme inspiracion. Me gusta la historia que viene detras de cada objeto antiguo.
Admiro el arte Precolombino, Indu y Africano. Me asombran sus objetos utilitarios que los considero veradaderas obras de arte que forman parte de su entorno cotidiano.

I´m Manuela Grandal. I live in Buenos Aires and, though in the city, I feel far away from the noise thanks to my studio-home that silences the noisy street. I work as stage and costume designer in TV commercials, theatre and photo shoots. I started of making dolls around 10 years ago while I studied acting. As time went by I discovered my true passion was working with my hands and went on to study Fine Arts.
What I enjoy the most is being at home with a hot mate and some good music, to keep me company. I love to lay all the material around me, play and bring to life each doll and object I make.
I´m a fan of antiques, decorative objects, books, illustrations, tools … and I have all my favorite ones at home to give me inspiration. I love the story behind each one.
I´m an admiror of Precolombine art as well as indian and african. I`m amazed by their every-day tools and objects that, while being part of the story of these tribes, to me are true artistic forms of their life and culture.
